The construction project for ALDI NORD's distribution centre in Nortorf includes the construction of a new cold store (5,400 m²) and the expansion of the warehouse, which in future will have a surface area of approximately 46,000 m² (currently approximately 33,000 m²). The cold store will be put into operation this month.
Furthermore, a new office building with a social and technical wing (3,000 m²) is currently under construction. Its completion is scheduled for July 2020.
Following this, the demolition work on the old office building will commence. An additional part of the warehouse extension will be built there later. In addition, the outdoor facilities, the access roads and a roundabout at the distribution centre will be modernised and partly redeveloped.
The construction work should be completed by the end of December 2021.
