The old vision of the school dated from 2005 - 2006 so it was time for a change. From 2006 to 2012, the school had grown to 400 pupils, which entailed the necessary 'growing pains' (infrastructure, appointment of new teachers, etc.).

In terms of infrastructure, more specifically with regard to this building file, we wanted to create clearly distinct entities on the 'Hoogstraat campus', parallel to the existing study areas:
  • the study area Sport, with the department of Physical Education and Sports, is integrally located in the sports hall and the adjoining classrooms,
  • the study area Mechanics, with the departments Electromechanics-TSO, Aircraft Techniques-TSO and Basic Mechanics and (Computer-controlled) Machine Tools-BSO in the workshop ,
  • the other fields of study, being Chemistry, Care for the Passenger, Trade, in nicely distinguished parts within the main building.
The new school was inaugurated in 2016 and was a successful collaboration between ABETEC and OSK-AR.
