Vanden Avenne Vrieshuis expands!

A multidisciplinary project in the refrigeration and freezing sector

Tuesday, 22 September 2020
Vanden Avenne Vrieshuis guarantees the storage and warehousing of goods in different freezer and cold stores, regardless of the size, shape and type of pallet on which the goods are placed. With a capacity of 35,000 pallet spaces, the company represents a very important part of Belgian storage space in the refrigeration and freezing sector.

In order to further strengthen their position in the market, Vanden Avenne is realising a significant expansion at their Buggenhout site. An extension of 8,172 m², of which 5,884 m² is frozen space. Linked to this are 9 new loading and unloading docks.

At this moment the first 3 loading and unloading docks are in use. In the second phase, the techniques (electricity, cooling techniques, sprinkler) will be fully installed in the various freezing rooms. In the 3rd phase of construction, work continues on the foundations, followed by the assembly of the steel structure and freezer walls.

Our team is responsible for the complete design of architecture, stability, techniques and infrastructure and also monitors the execution from A to Z in terms of both project management and safety.

A more than successful collaboration!
